A while back I gave Hustle CCT12 for testing to five CCC members that I though were trustworthy. Now apparently, from what I have read on CCC, Hustle CCT12 has been leaked.First Christopher Conkie: Bill Rogers wrote:

I am a VIP customer of the Hustle engine, As far as i know, the genuine Hustle chess engine will not participate in the CCT12.

What Mr Conway forgot to tell us is that he is also a CCC member. My guess is that he is the bastard that leaked the Hustle CCT12 engine in the first instance.

No. The web is littered with Hustle Chess sites and Ben Lau sites, but no download links and no REAL evidence of the existence of the genuine Hustle engine. It's all a scam to get donations for a project that doesn't exist.

You keep changing that date Mr. Lau. You have also ignored my emails. I am a chess engine designer, and so I know that you're just using 2 identities) 1- The Ben Lau that asks for donations 2- The Ben Lau that doesn't.
The reason you act like you don't ask for donations is because you need an alibi established to try and make people think the Ben Lau that does is a fake. This way your reputation isn't so damaged, and you can lure more people into donating. Your chess engine won't ever be released becuase you keep putting it off. I did some searching and found a 5.01 version but it was very weak and stood no chance against rybka 3. I don't think your imaginary cc12 engine is going to either. So quite frankly, you need to either prove you are not a scammer by releasing some version of a real hustle chess engine, or stop trying to make a buck here and there by lying and scamming. That's all I have to say to you Mr. Lau.
By the way, this exact same account of yours ben-lau has also made posts asking for donations. "To complete the hustle chess project before the autumn, we are still in face of many difficulties. We urgently need the fund to purchase more advanced pc hardwares to fully test our new engine."

Ben Lau will be back after the FIFA's world cup 2010, and the new engine Hustle 6.johnc （Johannesburg ) will be released then and there.
Hustle 6.johnc will be stronger than any of the exiting engines, and Ben is looking forward to testing Hustle 6 with Rybka 4, Fritz 13(?14),Hiarcs 13(?14) and so on.
See what I mean? First it goes from fall 2009, to summer 2010. It will just be delayed more, more, and more. There's a term for delaying items that will never be released. That term is vaporware. And the hustle chess engine is vaporware.

Sure he is busy with "other projects" aka scamming people. Let's see, if its true that he has made a program stronger than the world's strongest chess program rybka 3, he would not make it such a low priority. In fact he would release it and probably make a lot of money off of it. But he has no program to release and only makes money from scamming. Although he said it would be free, this is obviously a lie because it doesn't even exist.
